MASQ the leading creative squad in the region specialized
in creating the moment and making it happen in a
Wow way.
Our tried and tested design and delivery process ensures that we can realize groundbreaking ideas.
Close collaboration plays a vital role throughout the entire design and delivery process,
no more so than when we are translating the core values of the project into concepts and solutions.
Workshops, meetings, presentations are an essential part of each stage.
We begin by developing the lighting brief with the client and design team. As we consider the unique qualities of the project, exploring the role that light and darkness can play, creative solutions begin to emerge.
Our ideas evolve by considering the experience of the end-user, from all angles, and within a practical envelope of cost, buildability, ease of maintenance and energy use. We think about quality as well as quantity, considering the effect of light, shadow, color, texture, movement and change and their relationship to form, space and materiality.
Our conceptual ideas crystallize into detailed technical solutions that include initial suggestions for lighting and control equipment. The dialogue established with the project’s design, construction and maintenance teams allows full integration of the technology into the overall project. We use tests and mock-ups to explore the possibilities, helping inform the design and construction process.
We produce comprehensive packages of drawings, specifications, and details, helping to co-ordinate the lighting and control systems with the architecture or landscape design such that they become part of the construction documentation.
We provide support throughout the construction process both on-site and from our studio to help quickly resolve any queries. The delivery of the concept remains firmly at the forefront of our minds, as we continue to evaluate the lighting scheme as it is installed.
Design Department Stages
STEP 1
CONCEPT DESIGN
First phase of a project
It is where we let our creativity take over and shine.
After having a clear brief from the client, we work on conceptual design studies by providing sketches , renders and night simulations .
STEP 2
SCHEMATIC DESIGN
Second phase of a project
It is where we dive deeper into the project design.
In this stage we work on validating the design through dialux calculations ,layouts , detailed sketches and by light fitting selections .
Design Department Projects
Our projects ranges according to various scales and typologies.
From small scale projects to big scale projects, our creative team will never fail to provide the best solutions.
Capital Avenue
Our proposed lighting concept aims to create a warm and inviting ambiance while enhancing the architectural features by integrating elements that follow the building's lines. By seamlessly blending aesthetics with functionality, it will not only enhance the visual appeal but also contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all who interact with the space.
Through the strategic use of contrasting layers of light, we will accentuate key architectural elements to draw attention to the building's unique characteristics. At the same time, our design will prioritize minimizing glare and light pollution to ensure a comfortable and sustainable lighting environment.
Sheik Fahad Al Thunayan
Office Building
The main architectural features of the Sheikh Fahad Al Thunayan Office Building are the vertical louvers and the different protruded volumes. Our proposed lighting design concept will focus on establishing contrasting layers that accentuate the building’s defining structure.
Al Majed Tower
At night, light can be used to emphasize and showcase from a different perspective the architectural identity of a place. It creates a welcoming and inviting atmosphere while being at the same time a powerful branding tool.
The main architectural features of the Al Majed Tower are the strong vertical presence and the unique terracotta elements. Our proposed lighting design concept will focus on establishing contrasting layers that accentuate the building’s defining structural volumes.
Mina District -
Doha Port Development
A trending destinations to people in Qatar, Mina District overall lighting was designed to convey a feeling of relaxation and warmth in contrast to the bright colors used.

Sky Garden
Inspired by the greenery infused in the building, the lighting concept was to highlight the relationship between life and nature by focusing the lights on the vegetations.
Scala Tower
A dynamic, energetic lighting for the façade is proposed to create a focal eye-catching design where multiple scenarios can be conveyed.
Katara Floating Island
