Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) - Doha, Qatar

Qatar introduced a new storyline for the Museum of Islamic Arts after renovations with IM Pie architects. MASQ are proud to be part of such a big scale project.

The work consisted of partnering up with lighting manufacturers such as Lucifero’s, Signify, MP Illumination, and Modular Lighting Instruments for the supply of proper fixtures to illuminate the interior of the museum and the sculptures. MASQ worked on following a series of guidelines and requirements to guarantee an unforgettable experience to visitors, as well as to ensure the proper lighting for the artifacts.

The Squad was always on site supervising the construction process to maintain quality for what is delivered and to ensure the proper execution of the design. From confirming accurate installation of the fixtures, to studying the directionality and aiming of projectors, MASQ Squad went step by step through it all to maintain the appropriate finish product.

MASQ also cooperated with Xicato to incorporate the right control systems needed for the museum. These systems ensure the safe navigation of spaces and provide the best illumination experiences, maximize energy efficiency and resiliency, and offering extraordinary value beyond illumination.
